Ran this twice on back to back days in order to get a good feel for it. Hit a lower body and upper body days to assess strengths of the product
Scoop/Taste/Mixing- flavor was Tigers Blood and tasted good, very coconut forward if you like coconut flavor you’ll like it, was bitter and non sweet like a lot of their high stim stuff. Huge improvement if Assassin’s Ninja Blood flavor. Scoop was very lite, heaping it came up
5 g short of the serving so I had to fill around with a second scoop to get another 5g in. Mixed well for a big scoop.
Energy-Energy was good and prolonged. Not what you’d expect from 600mg of caffeine and 2 mg of Alpha Yo, more subdued . I’ve never found Apollon’s Alpha Yo to be particularly strong and that was the case here. Not sure if that’s a quality issue or not being that the quality of this leads to less sides or what but the heartbeat, breathing and nasal discharge weren’t apparent as with their other products. I found energy to be medium high which for me is personally better for an upper day than a lower day. Didn’t seem to wear off for around 8-10 hrs, not talking high level at that point just a noticeable difference when tiredness set in
Endurance/power output- Endurance was very good. Not much rest needed between sets as well as anticipation for next sets, get stuff done mindset. Power output was good as well, not a lot of grinding on early reps sets. Lasted throughout duration of workout
Focus-Focus was good, higher end throughout. High doses of Alpha GPC (1g) and L tyrosine (3g) noticeable on focus and mental clarity/mental energy. Again this lasted awhile after workout
Pumps- Pumps were great. Even on leg day while doing front squats and just holding the bar in place I got a great pump. On chest, shoulders and arms it goes without saying they were even better. Very full and vascular. I respond well to nitrates and this is loaded with them. As good as a stand alone pump
Overall- it’s more “F#ck Mediocre” than it
is “F#cking Mediocre”. I enjoyed it. I didn’t go in with high expectations as I have with other seemingly high stim preworkouts from Apollon. This is a good pre that serviced me better on upper day when I don’t need the gonzo like I do on a leg/squat day. Pump, focus and endurance were the best aspects in that order. Energy was good and long last it’s just not a big hit or a lot of urgency even with that 150mg of caff citrate in it. I enjoyed the experience even though I prefer more of a daily type stim level for my upper days and more oomph for my lower days. This will be for when I have a long day past my early AM workouts
